Juli has been a longtime resident of the South Seattle area, and a more recent employee of KCLS's Boulevard Park library branch. It was the latter of these that spurred her involvement with the Fellows of the Boulevard Park Library in starting up recreational sporting opportunities in the neighborhood. On account of her college experience with the University of Washington softball team, this program fatefully started with the North SeaTac Recreational Baseball Club, and the rest is history.
Her early play with the team saw her leading the infield from third base, but when her bat proved to not be as good as she remembered, she took up pitching and has become a reliable inning-eating anchor to the staff. Her most notable achievement was an 11 inning complete game shutoout, where she labored through 124 pitches to a grueling 2-0 victory.
